The Kemnather Land is a landscape unique in Bavaria with a diverse range of flora and fauna. This area owes its unique character to the magnificent basalt cone mountains. A special feature is the EWILPA - Edible Wild Plant Park -
a 5 km long hiking trail around the Schlossberg Waldeck.
The town of Kemnath, the so-called "gateway to Upper Palatinate", offers a variety of opportunities to spend a relaxing holiday.
Zoigl Culture
The "Zoigl" is a bottom-fermented, unfiltered beer with more than 600 years of brewing tradition.
You should definitely experience a Zoigl evening when on holiday in the Upper Palatinate Forest! The drinks are usually served in turns, and the landlords usually serve Zoigl for one long weekend per month. Where the star hangs, beer is served. Zoigl is served with a hearty snack, seats cannot be reserved, people are on first name terms and sometimes there is musical entertainment to boot.
